The long awaited Black Widow film starring Scarlett Johansson has found itself a new writer. Collider is now reporting Ned Benson (The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby) has been brought on-board to rewrite the original script by Jac Schaeffer (The Hustle).
The film, which will be directed by Cate Shortland (Lore), is rumored to have an R-rating, the first for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is set to take place before the first Avengers film and is scheduled to begin production later this year. No other plot details have emerged and no release date has been set.
