There will be 8 Marvel Studios films releasing between 2020 and 2022. 2020 will see the release of two movies in February and November. It is heavily rumored the two films next year will be Black Widow and The Eternals because both films have had active casting developments.

2021 will see the release of three films in February, May, and November. One of these films is most likely Shang Chi, along with possible sequels to Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and Doctor Strange.

2022 will again see the release of three films in February, May, and July. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will most likely be in the mix along with possible sequels or other to be announced films.

Star Wars

It seems like after the release of The Rise of Skywalker later this year, there won’t be a new Star Wars film until 2022.

December 2022 will most likely be the first movie of a trilogy either from Rian Johnson or Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.

There will be a new Star Wars every two years, with new films releasing on December 2024 and 2026. Not much is known about what these films will be, but it should be something either from Johnson or Benioff and Weiss.

Other highlights including four Avatar sequels releasing every two years between 2021 and 2027. A Bob’s Burgers film will release next year which is exciting. And of course, there are a plethora of release dates for Disney projects that should excite moviegoers of all ages.

Are you excited for more Star Wars and Marvel? What Marvels would you like to see between 2020 and 2022?
